A little about TBE Foto & Film:
The birth of a baby is a special, once in a lifetime event that deserves the finest care and planning. As parents, you deserve to feel in charge and empowered. The Birth Experience Foto & Film is here to capture these moments that change us--the ones that make us parents, whether new or experienced. I believe every birthing woman experiences something that transforms them and that this should be remembered. Every woman is unique, as is each pregnancy, labor, delivery, and baby. The way these are captured is tailored to meet the needs of each individual and family.
I offer many other services to help make your birth a satisfying and beautifully remembered experience.

Our goal is to provide the family-centered services that you desire--personal, compassionate and individualized for you and your needs.  I want to celebrate with you the wonder and joy of this amazing time.

A little about me:
After 4 years living in Southern Utah with my husband, we found ourselves expecting our first child, both of our families far, far away. Finding the right prenatal and postpartum care was very difficult but also very important. Nothing seemed like a good fit. As a first time mom, I had my own mother telling me one thing about pregnancy, my doctor another, and my gut something else entirely. I listened to my gut and ended up in the care of two incredible midwives who quickly turned into wonderful friends. It was through my experiences in my own pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum months that I found my own passion. Becoming a birth advocate came easy, and soon I was eating every bit of knowledge I could on the subject.

I found how negative society could be about the idea of birth and becoming a mother (and father!). Words like "pain" were often associated with the childbirth when I felt the word should really be MIRACLE.  What I  experienced was a miracle, and I was so thankful to have the event captured on film and in pictures so that I could not only remember the event accurately (exhaustion takes a toll on good recall!) but also so I could be taken back to those first moments: first contractions, first push, then my baby's first breath, first cry, our first meeting, first kiss, that first tear, the first time I fell in love.

I decided part of having a good birth experienced was remembering it in a positive way: the blessing of becoming a mother. I was so grateful to have all the moments of my labor and delivery captured on film, and as a birth advocate I want to offer this to others.

I am a wife, a mother, a student, lover of green tea, plaid, sensitive indie musicians, zombies, most things weird, and reading.

In another life I am also a writer of young adult books and my adventures on that can be found here.

I also am a massage therapist, a doula in training, a Zumba instructor, and lactivist, intactivist, lover of cloth diapers, and gentle, attached parenting
